These fall into two main categories, on and off-page SEO.

On-page SEO

Refers to the optimisation of the content and elements within a website, like the title tags, meta descriptions, headings and written content on the page, in order to better match the common searches for what that website provides.

So on-page SEO focuses on optimising the website itself, as well as its individual pages and content, in order to make it more search engine friendly and increase its visibility on search engines.

Off-page SEO

Focuses on the other hand, refers to the optimisation of a website's external factors, such as backlinks, social media signals, and online mentions, in order to improve its ranking on search engine results pages. Off-page SEO focuses on building the website's reputation and credibility on the internet, as well as increasing its visibility on search engines through external sources.

In summary, on-page SEO focuses on optimising the website itself, while off-page SEO focuses on building the website's reputation and visibility on the internet. Both strategies are important for improving a website's ranking on search engine results pages.
